'Fariña', whose Galician title means flour and refers to cocaine, is a Spanish antenna 3 series issued in 2018 and which was subsequently included in the Netflix catalog. Inspired by Nacho Carretero's book and produced by Atresmedia and Bamboo, he tells the history of Galician drug trafficking and Sito Miñanco.

The premiere of 'Fariña' was a success of Antena 3 with 3.4 million viewers and a 21.5% screen share. The 10 chapters of this series based on real events also triumphed in Netflix at the time they were included in the 'streaming' platform catalog.

'Fariña' tells the story of that dark era with the lords of drug trafficking as protagonists from its beginnings to the fall of the drug empire in the one known as «Nécora operation«. Its protagonist, Sito Miñanco, is played by Javier Rey.

The rest of the Atresmedia series cast completes it Tristan Ulloa, Antonio Durán, Carlos Blanco, Manuel Lourenzo, Miquel Fernández, Juan Pablo Shuk, Jana Pérez, Tamar Novas, Eva Fernández, Monti Cariñeiras and Isabel Naveira, among others.

Fishing reconversion has left a part of the Galician fleet on land and hundreds of indebted shipowners. There is no job. In the many fishing villages that run through the Galician coastlack of income and daily payments strangle family economies. It is the perfect breeding ground for the great transformation to occur: the ancient tobacco traffickers make the leap to something bigger, more lucrative, but much more dangerous: drugs.
