Barcelona prepares for a football weekend with the Sarrià Cup

Eight federated teams will play the first edition of the amateur tournament at Santasi school

This weekend, the district of Sarrià – Sant Gervasi a very special premiere will live: the celebration of the first edition of the Sarrià Cupan amateur football tournament that will take place on September 6 and 7 in the fields of the Sant Ignasi College.

The event will have eight federated district teams to play a tournament in the qualifiers format with 45 -minute matches. “We want this first edition to be an amateur football party, joining players, families and neighbors in a sports and coexistence environment,” they say Marc Collado and Jordi Riveracup drivers.

The entrance to enjoy the games will be free and for those who cannot attend they can follow the results through the tournament's Instagram account. The participating teams are: Sant Ignasi, CP Sarrià, CF La Bonanova, H8S Racing Sarrià, Sagrat Cor Sarrià, La Salle Bonanova, EF Vallvidrera and Daumar.

In addition to the sports, the Cup will also have an institutional component: the assistance of Dani Parradelegate of the Barcelonès of the Catalan Football Federation, in addition to political representatives of the District
