Deco and Flick want there to be no relaxations

Joan Laporta ratified in Rome, where he attended the meeting of the EFC (European Football Clubs, former ECA), the meaning of Hansi Flick's recenton the one hand, and Deco, on the other, about the attitude with which the Barcelona squad must face the challenges of this season. “They want there to be no relaxations,” the Barcelona president concluded to the cameras of 'el Chiringuito' in relation to Flick's words about egos and Deco's asking for intensity.

Laporta commented that “it is a reflection. We have won three important titles last seasonthe Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey and the League and we are on the verge of the Champions League, which is one more motivation for this year. What they want is for there to be no relaxation, for there to be the same intensity, the same spirit, the same desire as last year, hunger.”

He cleared up any hint of doubt about the German coach's work. “We continue to believe, of course, in the team and in Hansi Flick. Deco made some very correct statements. It is true that we have a very competitive team if we work hard. That's what Hansi and the players are for, who are going to go in this direction. This year we have to maintain this tension and they have been two very good reflections from Deco and Flick.”
